This took forever... hope it works.
Dear Ms Sparetherod,
I am the mother of a young child. Yesterday we had a fight in the public restroom over which stall to use. We went down the whole row and every stall I suggested she rejected until I was ready to flush her down the toilet. Why won’t my daughter listen to me anymore? After all I’m older and wiser and therefore better able to identify a clean toilet. Besides it took forever! Going pee should be a zip.
Help me,
Potty Training

While Isabella played with the worms and Luke investigated his wheels I passed the time looking at Lichens. Can you identify all 29 types of lichens found in the photo above? Me too.
Just in case you were wondering, it's like this Everyday. .
It's time to re-vamp this blog thing. Will is extremely busy and I take the pictures anyway so... sorry Will you're getting thrown out. Your blog is now mine. You can have it back if you ask real nice, Isabella will show you how it's done.
Here are my goals:
Isabella and I bake together alot. In this picture she asked to taste the flour. I said yes, that was my first mistake. The next thing I did was turn around. She said it tasted gross. We started again.
We also do a lot of crafts together. Our current big project is to paint a model of the solar system (not to scale). Mostly she just messes around. I like doing it anyway because I get to be a kid again, and it doesn't have to look beautiful.
Here she is just waiting for me to finish the dishes. I love how peaceful she is.
I love Isabella's facial expressions. She never smiles for the camera, but she'll do these funny scrunchy things instead.
Isabella mixed red and white to make pink. She was thrilled enough to tell me twenty times in a row. She has about 5 of these caterpillars, they get painted and repainted overagain.
Isabella talks to strangers now. It used to be what she said was nonsensical and out of context but now she's a real conversationalist. She even engages strangers.
Some strange lady at costco is cooing at Luke. Isabella says: That's my baby. His name is Luke. It almost sounded like she was telling the lady to go away.
Some strange lady in the elevator sighs really loud and rubs her eyes. Isabella reaches out to pat her knee. She says: It's been a long day. Her tone was dripping with sympathy.
Some strange lady at Knit Happens (a store)is knitting. The lady is cooing at Luke. Isabella seizes the opportunity talk. She tells the lady: We're going to pick up my daddy. The lady answers: Where is he. Isabella: He's at work. I haven't played with him today, yet. She was very matter of fact.
Strange people in the elevator. Isabella hides behind my legs and then pokes her head around to say "hi, everyone". Just in time for our floor. They all say hi back. She stands there thinking for a moment before she says, "We're just going home right now. Bye." Then I usher her off the elevator.
