These days Luke moves too fast for me to take a decent picture. As you can see, he likes music and soccer. What you don't see is Luke mauling me for the camera, or Isabella crying because I'm taking pictures of Luke right now. Oh, and Luke likes to climb on things. He falls down a lot. It's terrifying.

Pictures of Luke
Random Sampler, no pictures
Today:
Isabella asks for some rasberry sorbetto. Surprise surprise, she won't touch it. She wants it with pinapple, in the blender. I tell her we have no pinapple. Her patent reply to all "we don't have anymore" statements is: Well I guess you need to buy for me next time we go grocery store. She says it on a sigh. Try it.
Later we're going grocery store. I holler at her to get shoes and socks on or else I will not buy a pinapple. As the words come out of my mouth I think what a dumb thing to say. But then she magically appears with her shoes and socks. What a stupendous bribe.
Tuesday:
Isabella hands me a miniature toy pig and says: "look mom it's a not-a-cow". Which I took for a joke, but probably was just a statement of fact.
Last week:
I'm trolling around in the kitchen for something to eat early in the morning. I have my eye on some cookies and maybe some chips and possibly cold pizza too. I'm putting a cookie to my mouth when Isabella shows up. She asks for candy, for breakfast. We had oatmeal.

More Family Fun in Snow Land
Lots has happened…. Luke cut two teeth this weekend. And he can crawl. On Monday, he decided to try his hand at climbing. He used the broiler (lower half of the OVEN!) handle to hoist himself up. It was terrifying to behold. And he will not stay out of the bathroom. Willy doesn’t like it; he puts a lot of effort into closing the door, and ushering Luke out. And I think my energy should be channeled into cleaning the bathroom more often. In fact our whole home is going to be very clean, very soon.
This week Isabella is my friend. Last week we were enemies. I’ve never yelled at anyone so much, or been yelled at with so much conviction and for so little cause. She even screamed at me in the Library! I was 25% embarrassed and 10% angry as ever and 65% amazed. My perfect little girl? Yelling? At me? In a library? Preposterous! Luckily, we’re friends this week. Although, she is still a little changeling, and still a huge brat. I really think she must have been perfect before, because when I tell people about her antics I’m always informed that little Joshy or Emma has been doing that for an age and isn’t it just terrible.
Willy has been around a lot more. He’s been holed up in our room writing papers, and not actually hanging out with me. But I do like that I can poke my head in the room and see the back of his handsome head. I like that I can flop down on my bed after a row with Buggy, and he’s there to laugh at me. I don’t like him hollering at me that Luke’s in the bathroom and will I please stop what I’m doing and take care of him. Doesn’t Will know, forbidden fruit is sweetest! Besides, I just washed the floor and disinfected the toilet. It’s paradise in there.
One funny thing happened yesterday. I went grocery shopping. Isabella told me in all solemnity, when we were in the car and it was too late, that we forgot the donuts. It’s our tradition to eat a donut while shopping. Now I haven’t run the numbers but it’s my conviction that eating a donut while grocery shopping saves upwards of $50. Yesterday I spent $140, and at least $50 in Easter Candy. Anyhow, that’s not the funny thing. The funny thing is me taking out the wilted and moldy food from the fridge to replace it with the very expensive fresh food. Luke watched me, and for the first time he noticed the garbage. And Isabella, who keeps jealous tabs on Luke, watched him amble over to the garbage to investigate. Before I knew it the garbage was in the hall, then it was in the dining room, then it was by the window, then it was in the middle of the living room. Then I put a stop to this ridiculous game. Isabella kept moving it out of Luke’s reach, and he kept following her around like a little puppy. She was mad as all get up and he was laughing like it was the greatest fun. And that’s our lives… the maddest fun.
Now it's time for the main event:
Princess Isabella

What Willy Forgot
I just looked at Willy's last post... here are some images the world can't live without.
She barely weighs 28lbs. She wont eat her breakfast lunch or dinner, but she will polish off one huge piece of cake.
Luke and I had a wrestling match over that bag of chips. I let him win. Too bad the unfinished cafeteria is the only place we took pictures at the American History Museum.
Yes, yes I know. It looks like a three year old made this faux gingerbread house. And you might think it's a product of Isabella's genius. And you'd be wrong. It was all me. Silly walls kept falling down. So I decide to try for a dilapidated shack instead. Success? I think so.
There are no pictures from Christmas. Well there are, but everyone looks... well, unhappy and ill. The first thing Isabella did after getting out of bed at 8:30a was puke. All over the living room. She did it again 30 minutes later, all over her bed. Needless to say Christmas was not a photogenic day in the Snow home. Sorry.
We're Back
The last few months have been a whirlwind. School was more busy than we could have ever imagined. Even the holidays got sucked away by school. But the semester ended and we flew to California to escape the reminders of the last semester. (School truly is busy but it really is not all that bad). Luke is getting so big. He is learning and growing all the time.
Sheri caught Luke in a moment of vanity (or curiousity) in front of this platter.
2 big birthdays this month. Isabella turned 3. She is so much fun. She is very intelligent (for better or for worse). We often find her using own one-liners for her back on us. (i.e. "you have to wash your hands after you go pee." - yes - thank you for the reminder Isabella).
Isabella helped Dad blow out the candles on his cake.
We all love wrestling time on the bed.
Oh yea - we had Christmas too. Luke is acting like he does not want to smile and Isabella is acting like she does. We had a great Christmas, other than 2 sick kids on Christmas day. We have some great new toys that the kids still enjoy (and its already been over a month).

Especially for G-Ma Nona
Isabella has become a portraitist. The following is drawing of Elmo.
She has also done a few similar pieces that look remarkably like Grandma Nona. They also look exactly like this "Elmo" portrait.
And here are some pictures of the talented artist. I call them Dirty Isabella and Clean Isabella. Enjoy.

According to Sheri
I know everyone thinks their kids are special, but my kids really are spectacular. If Isabella was a superhero her secret power would be to follow my instructions without actually fulfilling them.
Here is an example:
Isabella get up on the table so I can take a picture of you with your scary pumpkin.
Okay, now smile.
Luke, he’s only 4 months and he can do all the normal things like poop, cry, sleep…well actually, thanks to Isabella, the fire department, the telephone, Isabella, the garbage truck, miscellaneous gas, and Isabella, he doesn't actually sleep. Anyhow, Luke’s super power is to roll over. Starting today I can never leave him alone for a second. Isn’t that great!
Here is picture of Luke executing his first roll.
And here are some pictures of Luke laughing. Just for fun can you guess which one is really him crying?
